The pandemic may have watered down many graduation celebrations across the region, but that did not stop Plano East Senior High School seniors Chloe Regelean, of Lucas, and Carson Coker, of Murphy, from creating an unforgettable memory. While wearing their caps and gowns, the two seniors celebrated graduation by surfing on Lake Lavon.
In the fall, both seniors are heading to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Carson plans to study business and Chloe will study marketing.
Plano East initially planned to have its ceremony at The Star in Frisco on June 6. But Plano ISD has shifted the graduations to have seniors make an appointment for either June 9 or June 10 where they will have their name read and walk across a stage in the Plano East gym to receive their diploma and secure a photo.
